A lot of narratives out there, and frankly, none of us really don’t know what to believe. Was there miscommunications, are people not telling the full story, etc? DAILY ROUNDUP 7/4 TRANSCRIPT
You are listening to the Daily Roundup here as part of the Reality Steve Podcast. I’m your host, Reality Steve. Thank you all for tuning in. Good Fourth of July episode for you. Gonna be a little bit shorter since I know it’s a holiday. Not everybody’s going to spend 25 minutes listening to what I have to say today, but I will say that got some things to go over.
We are going to have our weekly podcast with Game of Roses coming up in a couple hours. You might’ve seen yesterday on my social media accounts and you’ll see today, wherever you listen to your podcasts, I now have new podcast art. Definitely talk about that. I want to make a clarification on Caitlin and what I talked about yesterday.
And also. This Caitlin hate is kind of getting out of control. What happened yesterday was so ridiculous and I want to go over it briefly. And then one final thought to give on the Bratz documentary on Hulu that I’ve told you all to watch. I’ve hope you watched it by now, but I’ve got some thoughts on it again.
We’ll get to all that momentarily right off the bat. Just wanted to say happy 4th of July to all of you out there. Hope you have a safe, safe, and happy 4th today. Don’t be late. Blowing any of your digits off your hand because you want to get a whistling Pete or piccolo Pete, what are they called? Is it piccolo Pete?
So they’re called, right? If you want to get one of those, look, we all know every year, you’re going to hear a story on the news. Either later on tonight or tomorrow about how somebody had a fireworks accident and blew off one of their digits. It’s inevitable every year it happens yet. It’s the one time a year where you’re just like, I think I need to be more careful.
About lighting fireworks for me. I’ve never been a lighting fireworks guy. And now, and even with the shows, it’s like, yeah, I mean, all the shows are pretty much the same. Now I’m kind of all into the drone thing. The drone shows. I don’t have a drone myself. I’m just talking about drone shows. I think those are really cool.
Cause they can be different. Let’s be honest. Firework shows can only really be the same thing every time. It just, you can’t get much different. Maybe you can, maybe you see a firework show that goes for 30 minutes. Maybe you see one that goes 10 or 15. But ultimately they’re usually going to end with a flurry of fireworks.
And I can’t say I’ve ever seen anything different where one fireworks show beat another one, but that’s just me. However, if you are lighting fireworks in your neighborhood, please be safe. Don’t maim yourself because you want to light that last Piccolo Pete or rocket launcher or whatever they’re called.
I don’t even know. Also coming up in a couple hours, we still are going to have a weekly Thursday podcast. It’s number 398. We’re getting close to 400. 400 will be on July 18th. And I already know who it’s going to be with. How about that? So, cause I wanted to make it special. It’s the 400th episode of the weekly podcast.
I wanted to have somebody on that I’ve never had on before. And it’s somebody that I think you’ll all be interested in hearing from. So that’s coming up in a couple of weeks, in a couple of hours. Will be Game of Roses. Chad and Lizzie come on and we discuss kind of the preseason of Jen’s upcoming season that starts on Monday.
We don’t even really get into anything because they’re not spoiler people. They don’t want to know what happens this season. So we talk about basically everything that has led up to next Monday, July 8th. Basically from Joey’s finale night. To where we found out that Jim was going to be the bachelorette to Maria’s call her daddy.
First, Daisy being brought out on the after the final rose to Maria’s call her daddy’s appearance to Jen’s call her daddy appearance. We talk about that. We also talk about the L. A. Times article that came out last week in regards to how the show has been doing the state of the franchise. The lack of diversity in it.
We do touch on that. We also talk about AI, artificial intelligence and how it is playing a role now. It’s going to start taking people’s jobs and Chad is very big in the AI world. He’s releasing an album and he actually gave me an exclusive today. You are going to hear an exclusive of one of Chad’s AI songs that is dedicated to Nick Vial.
Because the title of the song, in case you didn’t know, is called How Could You. In parentheses, make love to me in parentheses, Nick song. Cause I’ll remember what Nick said to Andy Dorfman on the couch at the, after the final rose. Well, Chad made an AI song out of it and he’s got an eight song album coming out soon.
He’s got a single being released on July 10th and then, but he released that to me and it’s played in my podcast today with Chad and Lizzie. So go check that out if you are so inclined. You should, it’s a really funny song and yes, it’s all done computer generated. And we talk about kind of the dangers of how big AI is getting and how the bachelor could use AI going forward, which is quite scary when you think about it.
The other thing, if you saw my social media accounts yesterday, you’ll notice that I have some new art because the reality Steve photo that has been on my Twitter account, on my Instagram account, on my website, that picture was taken in 2011. I literally did a photo shoot with a bunch of different poses.
That’s the one I chose as my, because that’s when I went in August of 2011 is when reality Steve became my full time job. I incorporated myself and the company that I was working with was like, let’s get some professional shots done. Okay. Well, I haven’t gotten any professional shots done since then. I don’t have a lot of pictures of myself.
So we went with the cartoon character. I think it looks about as close to me as you can for being a cartoon. And. It’s something to where it’s now my Twitter default picture, my Instagram default picture. It’s going to be on my YouTube default picture, whether I get around to changing it on my website, that might take a little bit longer, but that is the new art that you’re going to see using forward.
So yeah, it is going to be a little bit weird. Now, when you look in your podcast folder and your podcast stream every morning, you’re going to see a new picture and it’s going to be the reality C podcast with the new cartoon image. Look, I’m just not a guy that. is very much of a picture taker, and at some point I’m going to have to, and especially with the YouTube channel, I’m going to need to get a picture of myself and use that as my cover art, unless I want to go with that cartoon as my cover art on YouTube.
I don’t think I’m going to, I’d rather use a regular picture. So you saw the first two YouTubes that I did the last two Sundays. It was just the old shot of me, and I’m gonna have to get a new one before, before Sunday’s live stream and Sunday’s live stream is going to be pretty much a rundown of Jen’s episode by episode spoilers, everything I have up to that point, and Monday it’ll be in written form on my website.
So, man, I just thought about that. I haven’t done anything in terms of putting it down in writing. So, looks like I got a busy weekend ahead of me because that’s more for formatting issues. It just takes a while to put it all out there. You know, episode one, L. A. You know, listing the 18 men who get roses and the 7 men who are eliminated.
And then episode two, here’s the group date. Here’s who was on it. One on one with Marcus. Here’s the other group date. Here’s who was on it. But it’s also just the formatting issues to go on a website. That’s what takes the longest. So We’ll have that on there. Hopefully I’ll get it all done this weekend and I’ll post it on Monday.
So look forward to that on Monday. I’m sure I will procrastinate and take out up until late Sunday night. Probably won’t even start it till after now. I’m going to start it on Saturday because if I start it after I do the live stream on Sunday night, I still have to record two podcasts on Sunday night for Monday.
