Welcome back everyone. To say we’ve had a lot happen since you last joined us (assuming you haven’t been back since Arie’s season ended) would be quite the understatement. We had every date this season except about 3 spoiled in real time, including the final rose ceremony, which was spoiled by a tabloid (TMZ) before the season started for the first time ever. More on that later. But just wanna start out by saying what a fun weekend it was in Denver. I mean, can you beat first row seats to Taylor Swift? That answer would be no. Then Saturday night at the Rockies game was kind of a sh** show, but tons of fun. I have Lace Morris and Leah Block to thank for showing me around. From meeting the strange Lithuanian dude at Viewhouse before the game (which you can watch on my IG), to maybe watching a ½ inning of the actual game, then post-game hitting up at least 3 different bars that I can’t remember the names of (Meadowlark I think was one), to then wandering the streets of downtown craving pizza at 1am, finding giants slices at Marquis (my new favorite pizza), having someone in the party ditch me so I gave the remaining slices to a homeless guy, then taking a pedal cab home because I was tired of walking. All in all a great trip and looking forward to the next stop on the summer tour in San Francisco June 21st-24th. I’ll update more as we get closer.
Get your “Reader Emails” and “Dr. Reality Steve” emails in tonight and tomorrow to be posted this week. Also, this Thursday will be the last “He Said, She Said” podcast on Stitcher Premium with Sharleen Joynt. It’s been a great year run and I had a blast with Sharleen. Scheduling and some things for her are preventing us from continuing. However, I will have some news on that front that I will announce on Thursday’s podcast, so stay tuned.
We have A LOT to get to before the recap of last night’s episode, which starts on page 3. The Fan Appreciation Party is next Friday night at Mandalay Bay in Vegas. We are overbooked so not accepting any more people, I’m sorry. Last year’s party had 70 people, which was the most we’ve ever had. Right now, I’m at 100 for this year now. It’s why I started to promote this in February. Want to give people plenty of time to book flight/hotels, etc. However you at home will be able to participate somewhat as we’ll be Periscoping the Trivia Contest like we do every year. Usually starts about 9:15-9:30pm PST, so east coasters, sorry for the late start but it is what it is. If you wanna check it out, you’ll be able to. As always, I’ll have the test, the answers, and the winners announced in the following Tuesday’s column. Looking forward to seeing everyone there who has responded.
Lets first start off with the schedule for the season. NBA Finals Game 5 is scheduled for Monday, June 11th. So there will not be a new episode of the “Bachelorette” that week, which means they’ll either double up at some point this season with a back-to-back Sunday/Monday or Monday/Tuesday episodes. OR, at the end of the season, run the “Men Tell All” on a Sunday night and not give that episode its own week. That’s the only way the season ends on time for the Monday, August 6th finale. That officially hasn’t been announced, but if you look at their past “Bachelorette” seasons, it’s always ended on the first Monday in August or last Monday in July. There’s 11 episodes every season, and if you do the math of the next 11 Monday’s, it puts the finale on August 6th. I think even if the NBA Finals end in a sweep (highly unlikely), I doubt the June 11th episode would still be a new one anyway. I’ll keep you updated once ABC makes their plans official and sends out a press release.
Arie and Lauren were back in the news on Sunday night when GQ released this close and personal interview with them. The writer actually tailed them for 48 hours and was given full access – until they weren’t. It’s very in depth, but the ending had kind of a twist as Arie shut down this interviewer after they allegedly made Lauren uncomfortable with their questioning, and they were no longer given access. So the writer just had to print what they had up to that point. What’d the writer do to provoke Lauren? Here was her response yesterday:
In response to the GQ article…
She crossed a line. Nobody should have to feel bullied in their own home. That’s all I’m going to say about that. #glitter— Lauren Burnham (@laurenburnham91) May 28, 2018
Which basically gives us no clarity at all. We don’t know what the writer did other than “cross the line,” which could have a 100 different meanings. The biggest thing I took from the piece is that, yet again, Arie feels like we should somehow think he’s the victim in all of this. Saying the producers told you to sit there and wait for Becca and not leave, and telling you to go back inside, then saying you felt betrayed – sorry. Falls on deaf ears. You mean the same producers that didn’t give a sh** about you four years ago when they told you you were the “Bachelor,” filmed your intro package, then pulled the rug out from under you to go with Chris Soules? If you don’t know by now, you’ll never know. I can’t believe he’s still playing that card. And enough already with the, “Well, I did it on camera because I knew that’d make her the ‘Bachelorette’ so isn’t that what everyone wanted? Look at me, I’m the hero!” Worst. Take. Ever. He just doesn’t get it and never will. So many other things wrong with things Arie said in that story, but those were the biggest sticking points to me. Moving on.
In case you didn’t see Thursday’s post, TMZ spoiled the season’s ending by having pictures right after the final rose ceremony. Clearly that’s Garrett, clearly that’s after production had wrapped (they’re taking pictures with the crew, she’s in her final rose ceremony dress which we saw on the season preview last night, he’s in a suit, they’re kissing, etc), but for some reason – I guess I shouldn’t be surprised since some people just can’t accept what’s right in front of them at times – there are those who’ve emailed thinking this is a conspiracy, that’s not the final rose ceremony, this was planted, etc. I’ll break this down for you as simple as I can to people who don’t believe she picked Garrett in the end. If you’re going to live by that theory, that means you look at those TMZ pictures and believe:
-Those pictures taken in the Maldives where she’s clearly kissing Garrett with crew all around snapping and taking pictures, was AFTER she’d already gotten engaged to Blake.
-Blake was told to stand aside and let Becca do basically a fake photo shoot with the guy she just dumped, kissing him and taking pictures with the crew.
-Blake would have to think that’s a cool idea to go along with (as would she and Garrett).
-Then AFTER those pics we see from TMZ were taken, Garrett is whisked away, Blake is brought back in and she’s happily with Blake.
If you truly, honestly believe that’s what those pictures represent, I don’t know what to tell you. The pictures are legit, she’s engaged to Garrett, and that’s the end of the story. There is no need to try and prove it otherwise.
I know every season when I give my finale spoiler out, of course people will doubt it because I rarely have ever had any proof. You just have to trust my track record. But now for the first time in 36 seasons, paparazzi got pics and released them of the final rose ceremony before the show even started, and yet there are STILL some that refuse to believe it. Goes to show that nothing in the history of the world will ever convince everyone of the final rose ceremony spoiler. We actually finally have pictures of it happening, it’s clear as day who it is and what they’re doing, and there are still doubters. Pretty funny. And insane. TMZ may have posted the pictures before I was able to spoil who Becca’s final choice is, and trust me I’ve heard enough chirping about that, but yesterday was the biggest traffic day in the history of my site – by almost 300,000 page views it beat the previous heaviest traffic day. So it’s all good on this end. If anything, TMZ’s pics probably helped.
Now lets talk about “Bachelor in Paradise.” Cast leaves for Mexico this weekend and filming will begin shortly after that, I’m guessing Monday or Tuesday of next week. Obviously a ton of speculation of who is going and what not. I don’t think there’s a whole lot of uncertainty of who to expect to be there, but knowing who is original cast and who isn’t, that’s tough to predict. We know that people are being brought in at all times, so this is always an ever rotating cast. What I will do is list for you everyone from Arie’s girls to Becca’s guys that I know to be/have heard are going. There will probably be one or two in the group that don’t make the final cut or maybe the info was wrong, but I’ve heard a lot of things, so this is what I’m hearing in terms of who you should expect to see that I’m pretty solid on:
Arie’s Girls:
Tia Booth
Kendall Long
Bekah Martinez
Caroline Lunny
Krystal Nielson
Chelsea Roy
Bibiana Julian
Jenna Cooper
Olivia Goethals
(The first 4 seasons of Paradise had at least 12 girls from that calendar year’s “Bachelor” season, so expect the same, meaning there will be more of Arie’s girls there. Those are just the ones I’m pretty definite will be on)
Becca’s Guys
Connor Obrochta (proposal guy out of the limo)
Jordan Kimball (the professional douchemodel)
Clay Harbor (the good football player)
Colton Underwood (the never-suited-up-for-an-NFL-game player)
David Ravitz (chicken suit)
Chris Randone (the guy who squealed on Chase last night)
Leo Dottavio (hair guy)
Joe Amabile (grocery store guy)
One thing I can report is that I’m hearing Leo and Kendall (who both live in LA), are already talking and have been out together. So expect those two to immediately bond in Paradise.
I’m sure there will be more, but those are ones I’m pretty solid on. I know a lot of you will have, “What about this person” or “What about that person” questions. I get it. I’m just telling you what I know as of right now. If you didn’t see a name there, it doesn’t mean they won’t be on. In addition, we are most certainly going to have international contestants on Paradise this season. Probably some repeats from Winter Games and/or pulled from other franchises. Yuki I’m hearing is definitely gonna be on, but I don’t know in what capacity. I get this feeling they’d make her the bartender or something because it’s kinda hard to go on a date with someone that doesn’t speak the language very well at all. And of course, they always pull some rando’s from previous seasons where you’re like, “Who?” Expect a couple of those mixed in as well. Of course there will be others because I only gave you names from the two most recent seasons since that will make up most of the cast.
As I tweeted out yesterday, I will be giving your episode-by-episode spoilers on Thursday. However, based on everything tweeted and posted in this column since filming began back on March 15th and ended on May 10th, every single date this season has either been spoiled by me or by pictures from social media already. The only 2 you don’t have were the 1-on-1 in episode 3 (Chris Randone), and the other 1-on-1 in Park City that wasn’t Garrett (Wills Reid). In addition, you know about the episode 3 drama where Becca’s friends, including Tia, join her to give the guys mani’s and pedi’s on the group date. This is where Tia and Colton’s past comes up, but Becca obviously keeps him around until final 4. What you didn’t know until I tweeted yesterday, was that Tia actually comes back to talk to Becca before the final 4 rose ceremony to tell Becca she still has feelings for Colton. Colton is eliminated at that rose ceremony, so make of it what you want. And both Tia and Colton will be in Paradise, so this story will be continued, for sure. What happens is anyone’s guess, because I don’t know if Colton is all too thrilled with what happened based on what I’m hearing. I can’t see how Tia thinks that’d be a good look for her, but hey, I don’t get a lot of things these people do sometimes.
Now, lets get on to the “scandal” that broke this past weekend…

I used to really like Ashley but lately she has turned into a mean girl. Her pro women social media platform seems so contrived. Wish you’d interview someone less biased re the Garrett situation.

I’m with you Steve, we have to wait and see what’s the real story behind these Instagram’s posts. I was really in shock with the hate campaign that Ashley Spivey started with this whole Garrett situation. Not liking her at all.

The spoiler is correct – I work with a guy who was Garrett’s roommate, and several of my office mates went to college with him. Apparently Garrett spilled the beans to some of his close friends, who then spilled the beans to other friends, etc. etc. – anyway, it’s the talk of the office – Garrett is the “winner.”

I really don’t understand why anyone would do this. Don’t peeps have better things to do with their time? I know there’s a lot of fake news and accounts out there, but I have no idea why Ashley is making it her business and spreading stuff she has no idea whether it’s legit or not. I can understand why Steve wants to interview her, but it could also be another platform for her. Truly, I’d rather listen to someone with something interesting to say.

Admittedly I didn’t read the whole article RS linked to – but still, for the few I saw, so what if he liked them? Big deal. Why is it that EVERYONE has to believe the same way, like the same things, etc.
The ones I saw weren’t bad, and one was kind of funny (the feminist vs. conservative picture). Seriously? Are we England now, and get persecuted for things we think are funny?
Additionally, is Ashley Spivey a member of the thought police? Do we have to kowtow to what she thinks is right?
I agree with tinyred500 – I’d rather listen to a podcast with someone else than AS again.

I thought Garrett was by far the most stand out guy lastnight. He was hilarious! My friends and I were laughing so hard at the Chris Farley nod and then the fact that he pulled up in a van “down by the river.” ? People really should stop caring so much about other people’s views. If it bugs you, then oh well, you aren’t marrying the guy. I’m sure he’s a great person! I wouldn’t judge him off of everyone else’s opinion. I agree, let Garrett speak first. I’m sick of everyone thinking we all have to think the same and no one is entitled to a different opinion.

So, I don’t read social media posts from Bachelorette/Bachelor contestants. I don’t read them for politicians, except the ones that are shoved in our faces. If you’re running for President, I can see where scrutinizing social media makes some sense. After all, this person could lead the country. But a Bachelorette contestant? Let’s just say, what if Garrett is a total stark raving lunatic? To me, “Bachelorette contestant” and “total stark raving lunatic” are pretty much the same thing. Also, don’t we all realize the low level of effort that it takes to “like” something? If you “like” something, does that mean you are in deep philosophical agreement with the post? Or did you find it amusing, or stupid, or something? Or did you like it so your friends could look at the idiotic post? Man, the level of felony has really dropped. It used to be that you’d have to physically assault a minority or burn down a church to get the level of hate people get today for liking the wrong post.

Could totally care less what Ashley has to say. Won’t be listening to that one. Find it funny though how much “hate” Garret is getting for his alleged “hateful” likes. Kind of ironic.

I agree with most of the comments above. Since when did it become illegal to “like” something that you don’t agree with? Last time I checked, most of the celebrities are “liking” posts that criticize the current administration or publicly tweet that they “wish certain people would die.” How is that not any worse that what Garrett did? At least his was just a “like” of a funny photo and I’m sure Becca doesn’t care. Relationships are built on love.. not the fact that both partners have to “like” the same things or think the same way.
Ashley, get a grip and come back to reality. Why would anyone ever take any advice from a clueless reality star like you anyway?

I agree with your comment and Rob’s too. Thought police indeedy, agree, we don’t all have to like, or find funny/unfunny all the same things, but like what Rob says…..we get bashed left right and centre for seemingly having an opinion or merely liking anything on social media these days.
Interestingly, do you think peeps in England get persecuted for finding humour in funny/unfunny things? I’m a Brit and in England, and from my own perspective it’s normally foreign nationals who demonise etc., us over our humour, what we laugh and poke fun at. A few years ago, an American who was living in the UK at the time said to me, that he didn’t get the British sense of humour and that we laughed at the unfunny. I didn’t put too much thought into at the time…..but how right he was. Lol 😀

Hey Steve, you don’t need to “keep track” of ig posts people like. There is a function on ig to see the liked posts of people you follow. Press the heart at the bottom on your screen and then switch to “following” at the top. You can see posts those who you follow have liked.

Why should Garrett apologize for being a conservative? Tell Ashley to STFU and stay in her own lane. If anyone owes us an apology, it is Becca for supporting Cankles Clinton.

So Ashley is a “mean girl” because she brought these instagram “likes” to light? Um, no. Enough with killing the messenger. I agree that Garrett should have a chance to respond before everyone jumps on him. Nothing he did on IG is illegal and no one is saying it is but they if he did “like” them that does say something about his character beyond politics. No one can assume Becca doesn’t know what he “likes”, anyway. If she doesn’t she will eventually.

Nope. Not supporting this and if this is your attitude, I can’t support your page anymore. Ashley is a hard left feminazi so of course, she’s going to disagree with the opinions of the right. If Garrett had liked leftist memes would it still get the coverage that it’s getting? No… It wouldn’t. Just a bunch of leftists making it their agenda to ruin this guy…. because his views don’t match their own. Ashley needs to STFU.

AS you can see from my boardname, big fan of Ashley. Loved her Bachcaps back in the day. She has a great sense of humor and used to make fun of the series in a fun way. But now, she hads gotten a bit more mean on social media, and actually has come close to bullying, something she claims to hate.
I think she has bought in to the idea that because you think you’re right, and are on the right side of history–whatever that means–you are justified in being mean to others who you disagree with, and shaming them. Which simply is not cool, even if they are jerkfaces and even bigots. People need to be more civil and kind. Period.

I agree with most of you guys, out of all the men I dated before I met my husband, not once did I EVER ask them about their political beliefs or affiliations. My husband and I have never talked about those sorts of things either, we’ve been together for 9 years, married for 8. Unless politics are a major part of your life, those sorts of things just aren’t that important until you’re actually affected by specific situations surrounding those beliefs. I don’t agree with how my husband feels about everything, sometimes I question his morality in certain situations, but overall he’s a good guy and he makes me happy. That’s what matters, not whether someone has a crude sense of humor. Ask Garrett if he’d physically throw an immigrant child over a fence, because I seriously doubt he would. Thinking a crude image is funny and actually believing it’s the right thing to do are two totally different things. I don’t think it’s right to make fun of someone because of their weight, but I’ll be honest, fat jokes are sometimes funny. Show me the difference between that and what Garrett allegedly did.

I went to high school with him, he’s absolutely a nice guy and nothing about him ever came across as inhumane or callous, people do change and he could have liked these pages, but from my opinion of him, he’s just someone who liked tasteless jokes and if so I’m sure he will take this as a time to learn and grow, which is what we have all had to do at one point or another.

This feels deeply personal for someone to put so much work into this, something an ex would do. Like his ex wife. I’m not trying to place blame but it all kind of stinks, the amount of work someone would have to do to achieve this level of outting is something someone who has a personal vendetta would do, and to post form an anonymous IG account? Most people are proud to out “right wing bigots” and want to take the credit for the Dox.

WOW, I actually liked Ashely. Not now. Agree with others about the mean girl attitude and bullying because someone disagrees with her own views. Who does she think she is to decide what someone can like or dislike? Does she think she’s really somebody because she was on a silly Bachelor show and that gives her credibility? Talk about spreading the hate, just read her twitter and all her psycho followers who thinks she walks on water all wanting to crucify a man they don’t even know. Talk about sick. I always listen to Steve’s podcast, but I couldn’t stomach listening to her. She needs to STFU and mind her own business. Also, Becca is a grown woman and doesn’t need HER pity or help deciding if Garrett is a good fit for her because heaven forbid, he’s not Ashley approved. Ashley’s the one that needs to check herself into therapy putting soo much energy on “likes” on social media account. Get a life.

Ugh! As with most here, I too used to like Ashley Spivey. She’s turned me off big time with her Twitter rants and such. Of course she is entitled to her own opinion and to express it. However, she has this insane idea that anyone who disagrees with her on something is some evil monster. She does seem like psycho feminist who has gotten so out of touch with reality. She acts like she’s trying to protect all these classes of people on the fringes of society but all she’s doing is becoming hateful to anyone who challenges her in any way.

May 29, 2018 at 1:56 PM
Wow. Y’all are wild. You really can’t see the difference between encouraging the degradation of human beings and calling someone out for something. People aren’t being hateful by being critical of his actions. He is being hateful by supporting the degradation of children, women, transgender people, etc. This kind of hateful rhetoric is what allows people to dehumanize people to the point where they practice violence against them. Holding him accountable for his actions is not a hateful thing to do. And you call the left ‘snowflakes’…Again, wow.
Free speech means that you can say whatever you want, but also that people are also allowed to react to the things you say and support.

Ashley Spivey is a borderline psychotic, part mentally ill, hard core leftist who is constantly offended and filled with rage and hate.
If Garrett doesnt love illegal immigration, kudos to him. He agrees with 60-70 million other Americans on that topic. There is nothing wrong with being a conservative and not wanting the entire 3rd world imported here.
I know Ashley Spivey would be tickled pink if we moved a refugee camp into her neighborhood, but many others would not feel the same as her.

The disturbing fact is, that no-one is sure if any of these IG accounts and ‘likes’ are in anyway genuine. Ashley shouldn’t be trying to ruin a man’s reputation when she has no proof of their validity. If any of what’s seen is true, Garrett is entitled to his own opinions without having someone like Ashley picking over his account and sharing…..whilst clearly having extremely judgemental views herself. Regardless what is or isn’t true, she clearly has too much time on her hands tweeting and re-tweeting, and not minding her own business. Now, the story is in Variety….horrible.

I 100% agree with this post. It is bullying. I used to love Ashley, but how does she have so much time to devote to this? She seems to respond and tweet about this every hour. Maybe she wants fame again?
I am glad to hear other’s less judgemental opinions in these comments. People on Reddit are crucifying Garrett and Becca. I hope Garrett is okay. I can’t inagine being scrutinized like that, even if he did sign up for this. I am sure he didn’t expect every “like” to be analyzed. Makes me scared to “like” anything, even if it may be controversial.
Thank you, Steve for being “brave” and not agreeing with the crowd on this, as of now.

I read a few of the tweets, not all, and they were pretty freakin’ funny! If you can’t recognize humor and you really believe people want to throw kids over a border, you have issues. It’s why Jerry Seinfeld won’t perform on college campuses anymore – these virtue signallers take everything so seriously, they can’t have a laugh anymore. As for Ashley Spivey, I have no interest in listening to this bubble-headed dimwit try to lecture me about what I should feel “outraged” about. I will be skipping this podcast and I hope Steve stops giving her a platform. His blog and podcasts should be apolitical. Not interested in getting a dose of politics from Bachelor idiots. I hope Garrett DOES opt for number 3 – yeah, I liked the tweets because I found them funny. Deal with it.

Or better yet, rate Steve’s podcast with Ashley and give it one star – because Steve cares about the Podcast ratings. Let him know we don’t want to hear her anymore. Follow her on Twitter if you care about her rantings and ravings but don’t subject the rest of us to her puerile whining.

Sorry calling names and harassing someone on SM is bullying and spreading hate… calling someone out should come from a place of compassion… come alongside your brother not rub his actions in his face…educating someone on why an “inmcent” joke has consequences is the far more mature approach.

I was wide eyed and terribly disappointed when I started reading about this “controversy.” Thank you, Steve, for holding back some restraint with judgment, but I cannot believe you are giving this angry, biased woman such a platform to continue trying to tear this man down. This seemingly very affable, sincere man. How dare she. This isn’t “dirt” found on a contestant. This is intrusive, one sided, and unnecessary. Everyone is entitled to be liberal or conservative and left alone. I just had to add another voice to stand against her nosey tweets and political shaming.

First off, I want to make it clear that those posts are against my moral standards… or any moral standards of any person.
But, honestly, screen-shotting and making a whole ordeal out of “liking” some crazy conservative photos on instagram is ridiculous. It’s like Big Brother. God forbid you tapped a questionable photo twice that came on your newsfeed months ago. I understand if he himself had written something on facebook or twitter. I’m with attagirl87 – Many are married to people without the same views. My Dad was a Republican and my Mom a Dem. Most of my girlfriends can’t discuss politics with their husbands, because they were all Trump voters (the husbands). Thank goodness my spouse and I agree on most things, but not all. I have worked with sexual assault survivors and the disabled, so am very socially liberal, but many in my family are not. I love them anyway! People need to quit crucifying those that don’t agree with them. It is one thing to spew racists crap like Roseann and quite another to “like” something funny not matter how much in bad taste it was. Ashley should learn education, not condemnation is what changes minds.

The person this hurts the most is Becca. I thought Ashley was all about women empowering women. And women supporting women. As a woman I respected Ashley for that. I didn’t think Ashley was the type to do whatever she could to hurt another woman, especially in her bachelor nation circle. Becca’s pain will fall on Ashley as she was the first person with a platform to share the information that was sent to her. Ashley had three choices.
1. To do exactly what she did and try To hurt Becca and ruin the season.
2. Ignore it all together and say this isn’t my business. I don’t get in people drama, I steer clear of drama.
3. Send to Becca privately and say look Becca I respect you and trust your decisions but I think you should see this info that was sent to me and for you to handle as you choose to as this is your season, not mine.
Yes, liking those photos is not ok. I completely agree. But I also don’t judge until I know the whole story. Who am I to judge without knowing all the facts? Who is she to judge without knowing all the facts? If he did do this he deserves the chance to admit his mistakes. But I’m with Steve, I will reserve my judgement until I know all the facts. The timing is extremely fishy. This comes out the day after he was announced as the winner and four days before the season starts.
Like I said, at the end of the day the person this hurts the most is BECCA! Why would Ashley want to hurt another woman. Ashleys actions prove she is a hypocrite and is NOT about supporting woman in her bachelor nation circle.

That’s exactly what I’m going to do! Not listen and rate it the worst possible rating. To prove no one wants to hear her.

I’m with RS, in that I’m not “convicting” Garrett of anything yet. I also find it uber suspicious that someone bothered to take screen shots of the posts and releases them right after episode 1. I am definitely on the side of reserving judgment.

Good grief, why can’t people mind their own business! This whole thing shows who Ashley really is. Steve absolutely should not give her a platform. This is poor judgement on his part and a strike against him!

Wrong. This whole thing shows who Garret really is. Not to generalize, but I had no idea the franchise had such a hardcore racist conspiracy-loving homophobic Islamophobic base. Ick.

So glad I read these responses. I thought it was just me that thought Ashley handled this poorly! Why didn’t she just take it directly to Becca? Sides there are many reasons for liking a post. I’ve liked posts like that and not racist. Anyhoo Becca seems to have a good perspective on it! Excited to see her and G fall in love.

Wow. So a guy liked some off-colored jokes and it’s a big controversy? Really? Maybe he just has a bad sense of humor. I see nothing that suggests he takes a strong stance on any of that stuff.
