Well hello boys and girls, great to have you back. I know some of you are visiting this site for the first time since “Bachelor in Paradise” ended and other than missing the spoilers as Colton’s season was filming, you didn’t miss much because I think those were the only days I posted anything since mid-September. Whatever the case, we are back in a big way and on our regular schedule again. Tuesday’s will have your “Bachelor” recap, Wednesday’s your “Reader Emails” (which I did once for a podcast two weeks ago), and Thursday’s will be your weekly podcast (with a new feature I’ll tell you about today on page 2) along with “Dr. Reality Steve.” So lets get the biggest thing out of the way and that is in case you haven’t seen them, here are Colton’s episode-by-episode spoilers for the season, which were updated on Jan. 2nd. I originally posted them on Nov. 28th, and there’s been a tweak to the ending. Nothing else changed, but there is an update to how everything shakes down at the end. When the show and Chris Harrison (and even Colton himself) promote in recent weeks this “Bachelor” season is something you’ve never seen before, it’s actually not hyperbole this time. I think the biggest mystery all season long is how this will actually air and if we’re getting one less week of programming this season because of the lack footage from things we expect every season. Should be an interesting ride to say the least.
A lot of stuff to get to today before the recap. I’ve got an update on the Fan Appreciation Party in June, my podcast guest this week, Cassie involved in another reality TV show, episode 13 of the “He Said, She Said” podcast, and Episode 1 and an exclusive clip from episode 2 of “Temptation Island” along with an announcement regarding that show. All Temptation Island stuff will be on page 2 and there’s a lot to cover as I tell you what’s going on this season. So lets get started.
For those that don’t remember the announcement back in July, time to start refreshing your memory as we’re only 5 months away now. The 5th Annual Reality Steve Fan Appreciation Party happens Friday, June 7th at the Rio All Suites Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. A LOT of you emailed back when I first announced this and told me you wanted in, and it’s going to work the same as it always has. First come first serve. However, this year because the room is bigger, I can invite more people. If we can get to that number, I can take upwards of 125 -135 people if need be. You will be on the confirmed list once you show me a flight itinerary if you plan on flying in, or a hotel booking if you’re driving in. Now I’m aware hotel bookings can be cancelled pretty easy and I understand emergencies can come up that are out of your control, but please only RSVP if you plan on coming because that spot I’m holding for you if you’re maybe on the fence could be going to someone who wants to go. I know the response back in July was huge as I have I believe almost 60 people already who said to put them on the tentative list. We’ve already got 15 flight confirmations, so those people are in.
While the party is at the Rio, you can choose to stay anywhere you’d like. I will have a hotel discount to the Venetian shortly. 15% off and there will be a link to book yourselves in the next couple of days, or a phone number to call. To reserve they want first night room & tax and you’ll be all set. For those that haven’t stayed at Venetian, for my money, it’s the best hotel on the strip. All the rooms are suites, so it is a little more pricey than any hotel, but definitely worth it if you ask me. So for any of the nights between June 6th and June 10th, your rates will be:
One king bed = $219/night (not including resort fees & taxes)
Two queens – $249/night (not including resort fees & taxes)
As mentioned, I should have the link to book within the next 48 hrs or so. So if you’re interested in staying there, just let me know in your email and I will send you the link once I get it. Also, I can confirm that there will be at least one Bachelor Nation representative there this year as if you listen to today’s “He Said, She Said” podcast, Ashley Spivey and her husband Steve will be attending, and she even promised she’d go even if she ends up being pregnant come June. I will send out feelers for others, but can’t guarantee anything. Ashley and Steve are in and can’t wait to see them there. Hey, maybe we’ll do an impromptu “He Said, She Said” show at the party?
Speaking of podcasts, I can tell you now that this week’s podcast guest is going to be Paulie Calafiore. Yes, this is going to be interesting. You know the story of how everything went down between him, Danielle, and Cara Maria. Then last week we had him being seen with Demi Burnett of Colton’s season in NY that created a sh*tstorm. I’m not a fan of Paulie at all for what he’s done and he knows that. He reached out to me and said he wanted on to tell his side. Told him I’d let him do that but also made it perfectly clear that I’m probably not going to believe a lot of what he says and he has to respect that it’s my show and I most likely will not agree with his view on things. I will absolutely give him his platform to talk, but going in (we’re recording later today), I’m well aware of his lies and manipulation. He says he has a lot to say. I will hear him out and go from there, but this is no doubt going to be one of the more bizarre podcasts I’ve done. Paulie has already let me know I can rip him a new one if need be. Lets see what happens.
Lets talk about Cassie for a second. I knew she had filmed a reality show in her past called “Young Once,” which was a docuseries that wanted to follow the lives of kids who went to college at a school (Biola University) where there was a contract in place for no drinking, drugs, and sex, when normally kids go to college for the exact opposite. Well, that season was 4 years ago and Cassie and her then boyfriend Caelan were on it. Little did I know that Season 2 is being released next month, and it’s basically an “update” on everyone from season 1 and where they’re at in their lives. You can watch season 1 and see the trailer for season two at YoungOnce.ca. What I was able to confirm was season 2 filmed end of August through the first couple weeks of September, which was just a week before she left for “Bachelor” filming (first night of filming was Sept. 20th). So not only will we see Cassie woo’ing Colton all season (and SPOILER, eventually end up with him), but come next month, we’ll see where she was with her ex-boyfriend Caelan literally like a week before she left to film for Colton’s season. Were they an exclusive couple? I don’t think so. But there’s no doubt there was some lingering feelings based on the trailer and the fact these two were on and off for years. Should be an interesting few months for Cassie.
