-I guess the only thing we really learned from Peter’s time up there last night was that Hannah isn’t engaged to anyone. Not that you didn’t know that already since you’ve known for over a month, but I’m sorry, an engaged woman would never tell the whole world it wasn’t only two times with Peter, it was four. Why would you possibly drive that point home if you were an engaged woman to someone else? Please. I think she’s been pretty free about talking about sex with Peter since she’s currently not with anyone. And with mom in the front row practically giving her son a standing ovation, that was quite bold of Hannah. To me it just definitely spoke more to the fact that she wasn’t an engaged woman. I wanna know what that windmills availability rate has been since that episode aired. Talk about free advertising. I’m guessing every couple that stays there now tries to get their freak on in it.
-Tyler met Hannah’s family first and, yet again, proved to be the most perfect human walking the face of the earth. Ok, maybe that’s an exaggeration, but if you read the internet last night it wasn’t. Dude has said and done everything right according to 99.9% of the female audience all season and last night he didn’t disappoint yet again. Hannah’s parents loved him, said he set the bar so high, and they were even nervous meeting Jed because of how great Tyler was. I know I got a couple emails last night asking about the meeting the parents and how it always seems like the one who is picked in the end is seemingly liked less by the parents. Well, that’s TV for you. I don’t know what the statistics are since I don’t pay attention to stuff like that, but off the top of my head, yeah, this is a common occurrence. One meeting with the parents goes better than that the other one, but the guy she picks is the one whose time didn’t go as well. All part of the misdirection the show throws at those who are unspoiled. It’s why you can’t base your viewing decision on what you see on screen. I’m here to help people. “Bachelorette For Dummies” could be another title for this column.
-Which then brings us to Jed’s time with the fam. Oh Jed. Couldn’t have gone any worse if he tried. Then again, it’s possible they were only showing us the negative parts of the visit, which they’ve been known to do over the years. But basically the family couldn’t understand why she even liked this guy, let alone brought him to final 2. All this really did was solidify the fact that Jed was the guy Hannah knew she was gonna choose, and her parents disapproval completely caught her off guard. She basically thought the family would love him and it’d be smooth sailing, and it turned out to be the opposite of that. Which is why she was so bothered by what her parents were saying. If that was the guy she wasn’t gonna choose, would she have really been that upset? Of course not. Jed’s who she had in her mind as her choice, her parents totally loved Tyler more than him, and Hannah freaked out. The best part of it all being that parents know best, and they seemed to see right through Jed since their intuition ended up being right.
-We did learn something pretty major about Jed though. When he was talking to Hannah’s dad, he informed us that his biggest musical accomplishment was writing a dog food jingle. It took the internet about .4 seconds to track down that jingle and, well, here’s the link on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=467274614083052. Here’s a shorter version on Better Bowl’s YouTube page:
Here’s the thing. Music is subjective. I personally don’t think he’s a great singer, but I’m sure others out there do. Whatever. To each their own. The thing is when he brings that up in speaking with Hannah’s dad, it puts more emphasis on his work than how much he wants to be with Hannah. And that’s been the problem with the guy all season. Just because he admitted to Hannah he initially came on the show for a platform doesn’t mean we can’t question him on his ulterior motives anymore. In fact, if anything, it should make people question him even more. How can Hannah take this guy at his word with anything he says after everything that’s come out. I’m really curious to see how she acts towards him tonight because she could destroy him if she wants.
-Then of course there’s the dancing. Ever since I announced Jed as a contestant back in March, you’ve known that he used to dance at a male revue club in Nashville. I posted the pics back then. However, we’d never actually seen video of it before…until last night. Feast your eyes on this:
Jed: “I can do more than sing.” wellll it’s NOT dancing … #TheBacheloretteFinale pic.twitter.com/B8b64A6RGD

I also had someone email me last night after seeing me retweet those saying Jed danced at her “Bachelorette” party, but she had no idea it was him until she saw those videos last night. So hopefully she’ll be sending me those today and I can post them tomorrow. What’s funny is you know Hannah’s parents were following along reading info about Hannah’s guys while she was off filming. You know they knew about Jed’s male revue background. You wonder if that was ever brought up to Hannah and they just never showed it. I think they see musician, male revue dancer, etc and their ears perked up. Especially after Tyler blew them away. Boy tonight is really gonna be interesting.

Seeing the ratings go up actually makes me sad. Means that the train wreck lead, and plane crash guy led to more viewers. People want to see all the dysfunction for entertainment.
Maybe Mike Fleiss can be the next lead. Based on the previous statement, he’d be perfect.

Peter is fake, fake, fake! The moment Hannah dumped him, you can tell he’s rejoicing internally that he’ll be the next bachelor. His forced limo tears and his phony “sadness” with Chris Harrison.
Ladies, you know and I know why we dump guys right after sleeping with them, right?? Wink, wink

Did anyonehappen to see Coltons Instagram with the comment that a Pilot would make a great bachelor?? Hint Hint. Kudos to the fan that responded and mentioned Jake Pavelka was one and he was far from “good”.

I can’t be the only one who thinks there is a double standard here. She (correctly) complains that Jed wasn’t ready for an engagement, but what about her? She had at least four hook ups with Peter, and seemed genuinely heartbroken saying goodbye to him.
And while Tyler said there was no sex in the fantasy suite, there very well could have been other times. The two had amazing chemistry, and we saw it right up to the end in their final evening together. That last scene of them in his hotel room was hot. He seemed genuinely sincere in sharing his feelings for her, and she admitted she was falling in love with him.
Meanwhile with Jed, she seemed depressed, and they shared nothing but short kisses. Zero chemistry, and Jed just appeared to be reading lines from a script. No emotion, nothing.
And in the end it’s Jed she gets engaged to, the guy she had the LEAST chemistry with and the least in common.
Yet it was only Jed who was not ready for an engagement? The whole thing is ridiculous.
While I liked Hannah a lot in the earlier stages, she now comes across to be as narcissistic and clearly not ready to settle down with anyone.

Hannah’s heartbroken dumping Peter because she didn’t achieve her happy-ending in the windmill even after 4-times! That’ll bring any lady to tears.

Assuming Luke P was watching, I hope he sees that she is definitely not the girl for him, allowing him to get over her.
How can Peter’s parents seem to be so happy about the fantasy suite sex talk? It’s just weird for Hannah to talk about this in front of his parents, especially after dumping him.

I agree with the poster who noted that Jed showed no emotion. Didn’t smile. Seemed totally disinterested in being there. How the heck did he get picked after her parents hated him and after mailing in his last day with Hannah? I guess maybe we just got the negative stuff? But Jed has been like that a lot. I’m dumbfounded how he even got to the overnights. He should have been gone long ago.
The creepiness factor was pretty high when Peter’s parents were cheering on Peter’s 4-pete in the Windmill. As a parent, I would be horrified. What the hell is wrong with them?! With parents like that, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. They certainly didn’t reflect well on Peter’s values.
Sorry to say, I do love a good train wreck. Last night was completely boring, but I expect some good fireworks tonight. Hannah hasn’t been shy about trashing people on the show. I expect that Jed is going to get it right between the eyes. But I have to be fair. Hannah’s poor decision making has been on display all season. Especially with the Luke P thing and keeping him around so long and dumping guys who could have been in the mix. Then picking Jed despite the obvious red flags and her parents disliking the guy. I mean, she really caused all the drama with her bad decisions. It’s not like everything was perfect, her parents loved Jed and it all ended in romantic bliss. This was totally predictable. Hannah is not a victim in all this, despite her sometimes acting like it (and sometimes being aware of the fact that she made some bad decisions). I really hope she takes ownership for her outsized role in how this season went down. There are a lot of learnings for her. I suspect her history has been always picking the wrong guys and that was on full display this season.

When the guys met Hannah’s family, Hannah said they’d be meeting her mother and father. Who where the other two people with Hannah’s family? I never saw them identified.
As others have pointed out, Jed has always seemed flat, like he’s a bad actor reading a script. No emotions. How did Hannah not pick up on that? With Luke, she pulled teeth to get him to have an honest reaction.
Hannah’s family harped on Jed’s lack of income (maybe due to the edit) and it seemed to be an honest opinion. Money isn’t everything, but being able to make a living is important. I was glad to see that aspect acknowledged instead of a family glossing over an important part of a relationship.

I’m still shaking my head about Jed’s big breakthrough in the music industry– he wrote a jingle for a dog food commercial??????? I think the guy is a joke. He is one of many who aspires to be famous, and since he isn’t a good musician he decides to go on a reality show to bring him fame. I hope it backfires on him tonight so that future aspiring musicians will think twice about doing a reality show unless it’s a singing competition. I’m still in disbelief that she picked him out of all the guys.

I can’t help but wonder if it were “The Bachelor ” and the lead was talking about the girl he just sent home and the 4 times in the windmill how different the reactions would be.

@rob22 I have to disagree with you on your opinion of Peter’s parents regarding sex. Mature adults, including parents with their adult children should be able to discuss sex in a relationship. That does not make them bad parents and it certainly doesn’t make them creepy. To say the apple doesn’t fall from tree is just ignorance. So you obviously don’t have a that kind of relationship with your parents, but many other people do. Not trying to start a comment war back in forth, just want you to know there are many parent/child relationships out there were you can discuss those feelings. Hell, I know my mom and I sure do and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

@rob22 Peter’s parents were auditioning too for his Bachelor role. They act all supportive (even over the windmill situation, that’s how desperate they are) and I don’t buy his mom’s phony spiel about how she feels more hurt and heartbroken blah blah blah. She’s reading from some lousy script. Indeed, Hannah’s made her own bed but at least, she did end things with the toxic men.
@kdtx I am glad Hannah’s parents questioned Jed’s income too and that aspect was finally acknowledge on national tv. I have questioned most of the bachelor/ettes contestants source of income for many years and the parents never friggin talk or ask about it!
I am resentful that Chris H or Hannah didn’t confront Peter regarding the ex-gf coming forward. I guess they are grooming him to be the next Bachelor. Sigh.. Don’t tell me Chris H or Hannah will gloss over Jed’s ex-gf’s expose too. That would be TOTALLY disappointing.

@all4one I agree with you. Although Kaitlyn and Andi too got a lot of grief on their seasons.
@mandirae713 I believe @rob22 was referring to how public the whole reveal was. Telling everyone how many times they did it on national tv, you have to admit, is out of the norm.

I thought Peter’s parents were so cringe-y last night. From his weepy Mom blowing him kisses to the fist pumping over the number of times he had sex. I don’t care how “current” you are – I have three kids in their 20’s and the parents behavior was embarrassing. Peter’s Mom acted like her boy just got released from a POW camp. No one wants to see their kid go through heartbreak but that was just too much.
I really don’t want Peter for Bachelor. I think he’s in love with love and certainly nothing to look at.
I really want Mike for Bach. I’d settle for Tyler because he’s so good looking but his personality just plays to the cameras and he’s not exactly a Mensa member.
I also wish Hannah would just admit she’s happily single and realizes she needs to stay that way for awhile since clearly her picker is off.

Check out Locast.org it might help solve your CBS problem. It’s a free local over the air broadcast TV channels kinda like a old school antenna. DirectTVNow doesn’t carry CW33 or CBS now. Apparently NBC and directTV in the Utah market held out for 8 months before making a deal. They have a iOS & Android app, Apple TV, Amazon fire stick, Roku etc, etc, etc….they have an ad every 15 minutes to donate because the service is free but hey free is free!

After watching the final episode, I’m so glad that Jed had to face his poor decisions with having a girlfriend when he started the show. He almost seemed drugged……. void of emotion and stumbling around to answer questions about Haley. Thank goodness she found out and it’over between them. Hoping that she can get to know Tyler in the normal dating world and that they can date and see if they want a serious relationship down the road. I hope they take their time getting to know each other, which seems like what Colton and Cassie are doing.

I’m wondering what everyone thinks about Tyler agreeing to go on a date with Hannah. I watched a clip from her Jimmy Kimmel interview and when he asked Hannah if she regretted not picking Tyler from the git-go, she made a face, then stumbled to try to describe how she felt, which basically amounted to “I have feelings for him.” I’m thinking she just wants to come out of the experience with something/someone. I’m not sure they can make a go of a relationship, and he could be ruining his chances of being named bachelor. Hannah also commented about not feeling comfortable with any of her “ex boyfriends” as the next bachelor…so thinking she might want to sabotage Tyler. After all the drama she experienced at the end between Luke and Jed, I really don’t think she’s ready to jump into any new relationship. I so LOVE Tyler and hate to see him hurt a second time by her. I’m wondering if production urged her to ask him out?? Also, after hearing Hannah bragging about “f-ing” in the windmill four times with Peter, and all her gushing over Jed in the proposal…why would he want her back???

First off – I have never seen Tyler acting stupid. What is with this Tyler is not being too bright stuff? He has an MBA (which I have and it is not a cake walk), from what I’ve read, a successful contracting business, plus models on the side. He took care of his Dad’s business when he was sick too. I just don’t get where that is coming from. Did I miss something? A smart, educated, hard working man who has tools and knows how to use them, is good looking enough to model, and loves and takes care of his family – deal me in!
Jed’s defense that he wasn’t serious with Haley, because he was screwing around with other girls was a crack up. The look on Hannah’s face was priceless. That dude is the not too bright one. Jed is a total player who got exposed.
Hannah obviously needs some maturity before picking a life partner.
Tyler way didn’t seem interested in dating Hannah, but couldn’t say no either. Doubt that will go anywhere on both their parts. She already told him she loved someone else (which means she doesn’t love him), and you can’t take that back. Even if that someone else turned out to be a rat. They did that so there was some type of happy ending.
I also didn’t think Peter seemed upset at all. He was way planning on being the bachelor. As for the sex talk. It has never been my thing to discuss my personal sex life, even with girlfriends and sisters. I just don’t do it, and have regretted it the few time I did. However, I understand other do and it was funny. Mom was over playing her part a bit though.
To bachelor nation – Please retire the word “Clarity” for the love of all things holy. Use certainty, lucidity, clearness, confidence, surety, whatever just not clarity.
