Rose Ceremony #2: Los Angeles, CA (22 to 19)
Group Date: 9 women go to “Flight School.” Deandra Kanu, Shiann Lewis, Victoria Paul, Tammy Ly, Jasmine Nguyen, Kelley Flanagan, Victoria Fuller, Hannah Sluss, and Courtney Perry. Kelley got the group date rose. Here are pics from the date
First the women have to answer math questions regarding aviation from two women. One is the first blue angels pilot and I forgot to write down who the other one was. Then they have a midterm and are asked if they know the definition of flight terms like “flying dirty,” “cockpit,” “thrust,” “suck,” “squeeze,” “bang,” “blow,” and “windmilling.” This is nauseating already.
Speaking of nauseating, then they all have to get on a Gyroscope where they’re strapped in to this circular contraption and Peter spins them around. Victoria P. is dreading this because she suffers from motion sickness. A la Annaliese who had a fear of bumper cars and dogs, Victoria P. tells a story of how she once threw up on the teacups, so they show a blurred re-enactment of teacups spinning. Anyway, she gets on, makes it through, then runs to the bathroom and we hear her throw up. Peter knocks on the door to see if she’s ok.
Then they have an obstacle course outside to compete in, and the winner gets a private plane ride with Peter. The final 2 in the obstacle course are Tammy and Kelley, and when you get to the last stage, you’re supposed to ride this mini bike through cones and what not to Peter. First person to get to him wins. Tammy follows the rules and weaves her way in and out of cones whereas Kelley just rides straight to him and wins. Tammy says she cheated, which she did, but clearly production wanted her to which is why she was allowed to not follow the rules and nothing was said. Kelley gets the private plane ride from Peter.
At the cocktail party, Tammy tells Kelley she cheated, Kelley says she doesn’t really know what to say, then it’s pretty much dropped. A few others were upset but I think more women were bothered by Hannah Ann’s interruptions on night one than Kelley’s cheating judging by the reactions that were shown to us. We see Peter in his alone with Victoria P. and she says being a nurse she’s always taken care of people, but Peter was the first one to take care of her when she was sick after the Gyroscope. They made out. We see Shiann with him for a bit, but it’s only a set up for Kelley to come walking in and, yet again, Shiann is denied time. She complains after the fact saying she never should’ve let Kelley interrupt her considering she just spent all day with him. Kelley and Peter kiss. Kelley gets the group date rose.
1-on-1: Madison Prewett. Went with Peter to his parents 31 year wedding vow renewal. He surprised her once they got to his parents backyard and told her what they were doing. There were about 20-30 people there, including his friend Courtney who helps with his foundation. So for all the people who’ve already emailed me about Courtney and Madison leaving comments for each other on IG, just know they met at the wedding and that’s how they would even know each other. They have a dinner by themselves, Madison tells him she’s very cautious in relationships and takes things slow. Madison gets the rose. Tenille Arts plays a private concert for them, then we see everyone from the wedding vow renewal party surprise them and join in.
Group Date: This was at Avalon LA with 9 women: Sydney Hightower, Alexa Caves, Savannah Mullins, Kelsey Weier, Payton Moran, Alayah Benavidez, Natasha Parker, Mykenna Dorn, and Lauren Jones. Peter meets the women outside, said a friend of his planned the date but he doesn’t know what they planned. They go inside, it’s Hannah Brown on stage next to a windmill, and she tells the story of Peter and Hannah and their sex romp in the windmill. She then tells the women that they will have to share their own sex story in front of a live audience later that night. Sydney ends up getting the group date rose.
However, the last 10 minutes or so of the show ends is just Hannah and Peter’s conversation that they’ve teased since promos started. It’s a lot more intense and emotional than I think any of us expected. Yes, we know Hannah was never a contestant on Peter’s season and never shows up again because she was filming DWTS at the time, but, this conversation really brought out some unresolved feelings, not just for Peter, but for Hannah. Some highlights of this conversation:
-Once the 9 women split up to think of their story, they show Hannah on stage talking to a producer who asks her if she’s ok. She says no.
-Peter then walks in on Hannah by herself crying saying “Hey birthday girl. What’s wrong?” (Remember, this was filmed back on Sept 24th, which is Hannah’s bday). Hannah basically tells him, “I’m happy for you, but, this is a lot…”
-He asks her how it was for her seeing him on the first night limo entrances and she says “terrible.”
-She says, “I question what I should’ve done. I question a lot.”
-Peter brings up Hannah asking Tyler out on the ATFR.
Peter: “Did it ever cross your mind to ever ask me or not?”
Hannah’s answer leans towards yes. Believe she tells him she hadn’t heard from him, she knew he wanted to be the Bachelor, etc.
-Peter says he heard she’d moved 20 minutes from where he was living, he thought that he wasn’t confused, but now he doesn’t know. “WTF am I doing right now?”
This is all happening while both of them are sitting next to each other and Hannah has clumps of mascara under her eyes from crying so much.
-Peter then says, “What would you say if I asked you to come be a part of that house? Hannah replies, “Maybe…that’s a lot…” and gets up and walks to the other side of the room.
-Peter asks her, “Do you regret sending me home in Greece?” Hannah replies, “Yeah Peter, I question it all the time.”
-Peter says he never had any doubt that she was going to say his name at that rose ceremony. Even after she said Jed’s name, he was sure his name was next. Hannah replies, “There was no doubt it was going to be you and Jed.” Peter says, “You never told me that.” She replies, “Yes I did.” Peter, “No you didn’t.” But she never gives a reason as to why it she didn’t choose Peter over Tyler.
-Peter says he was watching the ATFR at his aunt’s house and watching everything go down with Jed and said he told his aunt, “If she wants to try this again, I’m 100% in. My heart sank when you asked Tyler out.”
-Hannah reiterates then that she didn’t reach out to Peter, Peter didn’t reach out to her, she didn’t think there’d be that much spark, etc.
-Peter says that when she showed up the first night, “I did kinda want you to come back on. I don’t know what to do about it now, I’m so confused.”
And that’s where the episode ends, so they’ll pick up from this point next week. Obviously we know they reach some sort of conclusion where Hannah doesn’t join the show, but the nature of the conversation and how intense and in their feelings both are is the reason Peter ends up cancelling the “sex story” part of the date, tells the women he wasn’t in the right head space after talking to Hannah, and he’d see them later tonight. But we don’t get that til next week since the episode ends with Peter and Hannah still talking.
Women who didn’t get dates this episode: Kiarra Norman, Sarah Coffin, and Lexi Buchanan.
At the cocktail party, “Champagne-gate” happens. Kelsey brought a 2 year old bottle of champagne especially to open up with Peter. However, production gave it to Hannah Ann to open up with him without telling her the bottle had any significance. Kelsey walks out and sees them opening it and loses it on Hannah Ann, going off on her. Ultimately it was patched up since these two are fine on social media post-show. But at the moment, I hear it was a pretty big blow up. Of course Hannah Ann can’t say on television, “Producers gave me this bottle to open up and never told me it was yours” because, you know, then people might think the show isn’t real or something. So I guess she just left it at, “I didn’t know it was yours,” and the audience now has back-to-back episodes of Hannah Ann finding herself as part of some drama.
Rose Ceremony Eliminations: Lauren Jones, Payton Moran, and Courtney Perry.

(SPOILER): Alayah beat Sydney in the finals. Sarah at one point got a pillow around her neck so Peter took her to the side and they kissed.

The finals were very aggressive between Alayah and Sydney. Apparently they “fought” each other 3 or 4 different times that day, and everyone else only fought once. So this has producer manipulation written all over it. But the finals got aggressive with hair pulling and swinging of the pillows.
At the after party later that night, Sydney told Peter she felt there was someone in the house that was different in front of the cameras than with the rest of the women, but didn’t name anyone by name. She was talking about Alayah though.
The cocktail party is cancelled that night in favor of a pool party, and this is where the Sydney/Victoria P. versus Alayah battle begins. Essentially the whole pool party becomes about Peter asking around to a lot of the women what they think of Alayah. And not a lot of nice things are said. They think she’s there for fame and IG followers and what not. What hasn’t been mentioned up to this point I don’t believe, is Alayah and Victoria P.’s friendship pre-show. Social media pictures bear it out that they were fine with each other heading into the show. At the pool party date, Victoria P. tells Peter she thinks Alayah is a liar and manipulative. Kinda weird how the show hasn’t mentioned yet that Alayah and Victoria P. competed together in Miss USA last year. Or made any mention of friendship. I’m thinking we’re seeing why after all this goes down.
