Even though Michelle’s season is airing at the same time as Clare’s started last year (the first time we’d ever had a Bachelorette season airing from Oct. thru Dec.), and even though it was promoted while BIP was airing, it just seems kinda weird this season is upon us. And that’s not a shot at Michelle or anything she did. Maybe it has to do with the fact I didn’t get a ton of spoilers on it, and I just have your final 2 and who she’s engaged to. That could very well be it. But then again, if you take Clare/Tayshia’s season, Matt’s season, and Katie’s season, Michelle actually had some pics and info get out during filming because they did travel and went to Minnesota and Mexico, both places I ended up getting pics from. So yeah, I’m not really sure what it is, but her season starting last night was kinda like, “Here we go again.” Maybe it’s because this is the third season in a row to air without more than a week break. Can only imagine how I’ll feel about Clayton’s season when his starts right after Michelle’s ends. Although, you’ll have way more spoilers for that season than you did for the previous four, so that’s good.

Speaking of Clayton, I mentioned yesterday that with the 9 person group date on Tuesday and knowing 12 women went to Toronto, that meant there’d be a 2-on-1 yesterday. Got it confirmed that there was a 2-on-1 yesterday, the Niagara City Cruises were involved and they were seen at Dufferin Islands Park, although unfortunately, no pictures. I can say this though: the villain was on the date as I assumed. Because we know the 2-on-1 is always relegated for the villain and someone who has an issue with them. I know you want to know now and what the deal is with her, but just give it more time. You’ll get it. I don’t see what the difference is between knowing now versus a few weeks from now when I give you basically everything other than just impatience. As long as you get it that’s all that matters, right? There hasn’t been one spoiler about Clayton’s season that’s been posted anywhere else and this season has been filming for 3 weeks.

-With that said, lets get started with last night’s premiere and things that we saw. It started out by showing us Michelle in class with her 5th grade kids teaching math with fractions. Oh please no. Don’t make my head spin this early in the episode. I love math. I love numbers. But with a HS senior niece and HS freshman nephew, having seen their homework in recent years, it brought me back to the days of fractions, and angles, and x squared and all that stuff, and it’s amazing how much I’d forgotten. Like I’m great at adding and subtracting in my head. Analyzing numbers is something I do all the time when it comes to gambling and what not. But seeing equations written out and completely forgetting the rules in math is frustrating. Yes, this was basic 5th grade fractions, but dammit! I don’t need this right now! Keep your common denominator stuff off my TV screen.

-Then we get the proverbial footage of the lead talking to their parents, in their photo shoot, driving to their location (which in this case was the Renaissance Esmeralda in Indian Wells), checking into her room and getting ready for night one. The one thing that did surprise me last night, and maybe they’ll do it in future episodes since they still have 3 more episodes in Indian Wells, is they never put the hotel name on the screen or said it on TV. They just kept saying “Indian Wells” which is the city it’s in. But at no point did they say what hotel they were in nor was it written on the screen. Considering this location is booked based on trade, you’d think that’d be on there. They did it for La Quinta. They did it for Nemacolin. They did it for the Hyatt Tamaya in New Mexico. Although, there is a strong possibility it did show up on screen and I just missed it because I was laser focused on the Dodgers huge comeback last night.

-Lets briefly mention that. We still don’t know how this series plays out and maybe the Braves do end up winning. But if the Dodgers come back to win this series, last night will no doubt be looked at as the back breaker. The Braves haven’t beaten the Dodgers in LA since 2018. 3 run lead in the 8th inning looking to go up 3-0 in the series which would basically mean this series is over. You blew a 3-1 series lead to them last year in the NLCS. The Dodgers dropping a 4 spot in the bottom of the 8th and winning that game, well, needless to say is huge. Today they have the majors only 20 game winner going versus the Braves doing a bullpen game. They tie it up at 2-2 and it’s a brand new ballgame. IF the Dodgers go on to win this series, the Braves will be kicking themselves for a while after this one. You thought last year left a bad taste in their mouth? This one will hurt 10x worse.
