Hi Steve,
I was listening to the 90210 podcast today. They are well into season 5, and while I like Jennie, it’s becoming increasingly obvious how much she despises Tiffani and disguises it as disliking Valerie. Yes season 5 is when Valerie is up to some shit, but they are calling her unredeemable, etc without remembering how abused and traumatized she was. And so she’s going after Ray Pruit? Yeah, it’s not ok if she’s really Donna’s friend but the disgust Jennie has is obviously beyond not liking Valerie. Tori is much more neutral and that producer that I can’t stand jumps in with Jennie.
Comment: This might be the most important email of our generation.
Since I haven’t been listening, I don’t know what they’ve been saying. But we do know that Jennie has horrible memory and is literally watching these episodes for the first time and doesn’t recall a thing about ever being on the show. Which means she doesn’t know what’s coming in Val’s storyline about her past. So for that I’ll give her a pass. But she definitely doesn’t like her, we know that.

Hey Steve, could Joey have chose Kelsey and she turned him down? And then he ended up proposing to Daisy? What are your thoughts?
Comment: No, that’s not it. That wouldn’t even make any sense. If you’re Daisy, why would you be remotely fine with that? You’d basically be his second choice if that were the scenario.

Hey Steve~
I literally just paused today’s daily roundup while I’m sitting in the Starbucks drive-through Lane on my way to work to tell you what I heard about why the ASKN group fell out.
I’m fairly certain I heard it on Dave Neal’s podcast to tell you the truth
Apparently Susan, Kathy and Nancy all went on vacation to like , I don’t know , the Bahamas or something like that and April couldn’t go.
Apparently, April had a leak in her roof that was going to cost her five grand, she couldn’t take any more time off of work, and she was going to visit her granddaughter for like her birthday or something in upstate New York, and the other women in the group were apparently posting snarky Instagram posts talking about “Wish you were here “ and making it sound like she ditched them when in reality, she had told them why she couldn’t make it and they were making her feel some kind of way about it, so they fell out.
Hope that helps!
Comment: Yeah, I guess April has addressed this in a post a while back, but we don’t know why the others cut her out really. If what April is saying is true, then there’s no reason for them to shut her out. We haven’t heard SKN’s side.

Hi Steve,
Have you seen this? Joey’s final 4 all changed their instagram bio pictures to childhood pictures. Do you think this is coincidence, or coordinated?
Comment: I saw it. Not sure why they did it though.

Hey Steve!
After watching the preview for next week I was wondering when was the last time there was a two on one date on the show. To me it seems like they only do one if there’s major drama involved.
Has there ever been such blatant product placement on the show like we saw on the “pool day” segment? By the reaction on social media it definitely seems like most people (yourself included) were baffled by it.
Comment: There was definitely a season that had an episode that focused on a product and I’m drawing a blank on it now.
And here’s your breakdown from @BachelorData on all 2-on-1 dates. Last one was Clayton’s season with Genevieve and Shanae.

Long time reader/listener/follower! When the golden bachelorettes appeared on the Mrs. Right date, did the Golden Bachelor even air yet? Those girls probably had no idea who those ladies were. Golden Bachelor started airing on Sept. 28th. That date was filmed right around that time, so no, Joey’s women wouldn’t have known who those women were other than seeing the cast photos.
And that light show on Jenn’s date was I think a drone light show where it be programmed to display anything! Super cool!
Thanks for all you do!
Comment: Ahhh yes, the drone show. Honestly something I’d never heard of until Monday’s episode. Guess it’s been around a couple years and is the new craze.

Jenn will be the next Bachelorette!!! This is my prediction! (I was right super early on that Matt James would be the next bachelor – I predicted this on Twitter, the day that we saw he was going to be contestant on Clare’s season , Colton – I even predicted he would be called the virgin bachelor, and Joey!)
Comment: Ok. I don’t think she will be.

Hi, Steve!
A few observations:
I admire you wanting to give Sydney a fair shake, but while editing can change the where and when of what she says, they can’t make fake words come out of her mouth. I do realize production encouraged her. She is saying what she’s saying though! And it is very passive aggressive. It borders on gas lighting (ya, I hate the overuse of that word too.) Her constant use of “mean girl”is cringe worthy! In light of Joey’s decision next week, I think and hope the 2 on 1 date will give clarity! I’m not saying she’s being frankenbitten. Or isn’t saying what she said. I’m saying what she’s saying isn’t matching up with what we’ve been shown about Maria. There’s a difference. I feel like Sydney is getting way too upset over Maria based on what they’ve shown us. But it’s pretty clear the show is not showing all the things Maria said and did.
Just want to say, I thought the tennis date was one of the most fun group dates ever. These women embraced it and had so much fun with the silliness of it!
Who’s your Super bowl pick?
Comment: Chiefs. I don’t even bother breaking down X’s and O’s of this game. To me, I just find it hard to believe that Patrick Mahomes is going to lose to Brock Purdy. I understand it’s not them playing 1-on-1, but you know what I mean.

Hi Steve
So, you’ve spoiled that Daisy gets engaged to Joey at the end, so she will be the first woman to break the curse of getting the first one-on-one on and not getting picked at the end, correct? It’s happened a few times on the Bachelorette seasons, where the guy who got the first one-on-on was the final pick, but so far as I recall, it’s never happened with a woman on the Bachelor. Or, am I confusing that stat with First Impression Rose? Susie got the first 1-on-1 of Clayton’s season and she was his choice. She just didn’t choose him in return.
Also, last night’s final scene with Jesse Palmer floating in the pool with a bucket of KFC made my day! And his poking fun at having to announce the fact that it’s the final rose, made me think of all the times you’ve poked fun at that same thing! At least now they’re not taking themselves as seriously! I thoroughly enjoyed that. Finally this show acknowledging some self awareness.
So far, great season. Joey might be the most zen Bachelor they’ve ever had. And the drama is minimal at this point. Like you mentioned in your column today, the whole bullying argument between Sydney and Maria fell flat last night. We’ve seen way more drama in the past.
Comment: Yeah, which makes it that much more frustrating since they’ve dedicated two episodes to it and it’s not even that bad – based on what they’ve shown of us Maria.
