-I think we can all agree that last night’s episode was pretty uneventful. The Jordan stuff was overplayed, three guys cried (or maybe four), and not a single guy had a bad word to say about Becca. Which is great. I don’t see why they would’ve. But on the flip side, doesn’t really make for great TV. There was no awkward moments, or some guys being uncomfortable seeing Becca for the first time since the show because they all seemed to genuinely like her. Great times, throw a party, be BFF’s, but it doesn’t make for good TV. I really do think in the seasons where they’ve had to show the Tell All episode on a Sunday night or whatever is the way they should go from now on. This episode doesn’t need it’s own week. They’re never really that good and people just wanna get to the finale. If you would’ve shown this episode this Sunday night before next Monday’s finale, I think we all would’ve been fine with it.
-One problem the MTA show is having (and only the men’s since the Women’s is in February) is the fact that of the 11 of the 16 guys on the stage filmed Paradise last month. So now you’re asking them to come back after filming a completely different show, and not really acknowledge it or any storylines that developed from it. Sure we all saw who was on it when they showed the premiere (not to mention the spoilers I’ve posted), but they aren’t allowed to talk about any storylines. So we have to, as viewers, pretend that these really are pissed/angry/upset/still fuming from something that happened during filming back in April when it’s almost August and most have filmed another show. It’s just not realistic, so it’s always gonna be kinda lame to watch these MTA’s when they keep this filming schedule of BIP in June. Last night did nothing to change that.
-They actually showed 5 of the 6 hot seats. Don’t think we’ve ever had 5 hot seats before. Only one who got sent to the editing room floor was Chris. The other thing that was highly edited was the conversation/fight between Coltons/Jean Blanc/Jordan. As I reported on Twitter late last week, Colton called Jordan a pussy during their argument, then Jean Blanc stepped in with his line that he did about “how can you call someone a pussy when you’ve never been in one.” Or whatever the exact phrasing was. Last night, they never showed Colton calling Jordan a pussy, we just saw Jean Blanc’s reaction. So know that was edited out since three people specifically told me Colton called him a pussy. And Colton loves taking all his grievances to social media. This is what he had to say last night:
I’m pretty sure he’s admitting he said it with his line of “When I heard the comments made by some of the other guys it triggered a response from me that was unexpected.” So just keep that in mind when replaying that argument in your head.
-The other thing about Colton last night that has me scratching my head was his Tia story. He said last night he met Tia before Arie’s season ever started. So that means he met her before Jan. 1st. Which is perfectly fine. However, and I could be wrong on this, but didn’t someone in “Reader Emails” say last week that Colton went on a podcast and said he only saw Tia once and he remembered when it was because it was his birthday weekend in LA in January? If I’m wrong about that, then you can scratch that, but I don’t think I am. Either he or Tia said the weekend they spent together was in January for his bday, and there are social media pics that shows she was out there because she’s with his dog. So why did he say last night he saw her before Jan. 1st? He’s mixing up his stories and making himself less credible. I’m curious if he ever addresses this.

Few things about MTA –
Agree with RS, that if Jordan was so confident he would not have to keep telling everyone how confident he is all the time. I was thinking last night how insecure he seemed, sad.
Love Jason’s response. He is very well spoken, thoughtful, mature, and intelligent. I thought a side of him showed last night that we hadn’t really seen before and it was a good look.
Love Grocery Joe and have no problem with him being quiet. I actually like the strong silent type; married one:). I’m most looking forward to BIP just to see how he comes across. I don’t agree at all with RS about Joe needing to go away; he can stay as long as he likes.
Thought Becca handled herself well enough. There was one moment though I forget who it was with, when she got up and hugged a guy and you could tell by how quick she broke away, turned around, and walked back to the couch she was done. Not saying I blame her, if I had to kiss and hug so many guys I fake liked I’m be over it too. Just something that popped into my head when I saw it.
As for Colton and Tia, who cares? Jordan kept on harping on it and RS too. Who cares what weekend they spent time together? Does it matter? They both have said it was only a few days, so what is the deal if he got the weekend date wrong? I don’t get the drama of it all. Becca was never going to pick Colton anyway, so move on. As for the virgin thing, for the love of God, quit making that a “thing” people. It is a personal choice for personal reasons and nobody’s business. I blame Colton for even bring it up and sharing it, his bad.
One final thing – I love the bloopers. Some are better than others, but I look forward to them. Frankly, they’re the best part of the show.

Forgot to mention – I heard on the radio this morning that Luke Pell is going to be signing at the local zoo’s concert series. They were saying women could win a chance to spend “wink, wink” personal time with Luke. I wanted to gag. I guess I missed the part that he was a country singer.

I think the whole Colton and virgin thing is well overplayed too. I think it was probably brought up as an added extra to his two/three day fling-ett with Tia…it was backdrop drama for the season. No doubt a trusty producer probably persuaded him to mention it on air, instead of waiting till it was necessary to tell Becca (in private). If she was going to pick him, it wouldn’t have mattered one iota to her. It’s a very personal decision of his and he should be respected for his choice, and not have someone like Jean-Blanc to be rather crude and mock it. 🙁
I might be the only one, but I liked Jordan he added likeable drama (without being the true villain) to this season, a complete show-off yes! However, him overstating how secure he is etc., usually denotes the opposite.
Going back to the overnights episode, I noticed Becca gave a short spiel about Chiang Mai and they showed her and the men arriving at their hotel. I don’t remember seeing that since Ben F’s season. I liked it. 🙂

Wow, jlal…you and I always seem to be on the same page! Great minds think alike, eh?? I, too, thought that Jason presented himself well. He was so damn likable last night and he appears to be genuine. Especially compared to the rest of the bozos! And I believe it was her hug with him (Jason) that you’re referring to, as I thought that hug he asked her for seemed rather cool and very brief…and Becca seemed uncomfortable doing it. Which seemed odd seeing that they had just screened that gut-wrenching scene where she was bawling after sending him home. It’s not been that long since filming ended, so for all her professing that she was falling for him, it seems she had quite a turn-around…but been noticing that with all the leads on the MTA and AFTR shows.I think the leads act that way to preserve their new relationship with the person they chose.
I also wholly agree you about Grocery Joe. I loved that he was so shy…better that then a loud-mouth fame seeker like most of the people they cast. And RS should take into consideration that, unlike most the guys there, he had no virtually time before a camera, so it’s all very new to him…and especially being called up to the “hot seat” where the attention was on him. Of course he’d be uncomfortable. And that’s what makes him so endearing. I hope he has a good experience on BIP.

With the overnights, Becca goes on about well her and Blake are so well suited and how she’s liked him from the start, blah, blah, blah, and we know who she picks. It’s done to throw the viewer off tangent to who the lead does pick. They do it each season.

Tinyred I too kind of liked Jordan. Or at least found him humorous. I think David?, the guy who lied about him was way worse.
Right now my top three for bachelor are Jason, Blake and Joe. Jason moved way up, so will see how Blake comes across next week.

I’m with both of you! Next to Jason, I thought Jordan made the MTA show! And I liked that Jason jumped in and defended him, pointing out that Jordan was never the one provoking – he just reacted to comments made by others, namely David, who I’ve come to thoroughly dislike! I found Jordan quite entertaining!

I aggree with all of you about Joe. He seems a bit introverted and shy, but I found his answers endearing. He doesn’t seem fake and annoying like many of the others. Good luck in paradise Joe!
