-Lets pick up where we left off last week, shall we? You know, with this riveting conversation between Hannah Ann and Peter that’s so heavily edited and chopped up, I can’t tell up from down anymore. What I do is ABC milked Hannah Brown for as much as they possibly could these first two episodes, and now after about 5 minutes into this second one, she’ll never be heard from again the rest of the season. She’s not part of the finale, she is not secretly dating Peter, and we are done with her. This season. On this show. I’m sure Hannah has some irons in the fire where we’ll see her on TV again doing some hosting work or what not. But for Peter’s season, it’s church. And that’s a good thing. Take away the whole DWTS aspect of this as to why we knew she could never come on Peter’s season, lest we forget, Hannah Brown was a former “Bachelorette” lead and DWTS winner. In a good way, there’s an ego involved in that. Someone in her position, I’m sorry, is gonna go “backwards” and be a contestant again. This was done to suck people in, and now it’s over. We can move on.
-The only funny thing about this whole situation was Hannah sitting on Peter’s lap as they stared into each other’s eyes, then her getting up to leave and Peter saying she left sparkles on his pants. Yeah, I’m pretty sure that wasn’t the only thing left on Peter’s pants. Also, remember from the second the first promo for the season aired we had that one shot of Peter grabbing Hannah’s face, pulling it a millimeter from his and saying, “Hannah Brown…”. Yeah, never shown in the episode. I’ll repeat it til the end of time. Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever get sucked in by something you see in the season trailers, because a lot of it never gets shown during the season. This was just example 4,327 over the years.
-Peter cancels the day portion of the date, says he’s not in the right head space all while adjusting the tent he’s pitching from Hannah. Ok, I made that last part up. I think. Natasha is the most vocal about being upset that Hannah Brown is still showing up on their season. Natasha is interesting because she works in production for her normal job, and she’s a friend of one of the main producers on the show, Julie LaPlaca. So it’s clear to me that Natasha is someone they knew would speak her mind and knew exactly what she needed to say in every moment. I don’t think for a second Natasha was really ever interested in Peter and she was just there to play a role. It’s really not that far fetched to think about honestly. And then we see Natasha in the end credits with Janice Dickinson for the comedic aspect. Can pretty much see right through her casting on this show.
-At the cocktail party after the cancelled date, Sydney gets some time with Peter and says she’s struggled a bit. She’s a Bama girl, but not your typical Southern girl. Comes from mixed parents and where she grew up she dealt with a lot of bullying but got through it. She eventually gets a make out with Peter and, well, the only other woman we see him get time with at the cocktail party is Mykenna. And he flashes her his not-so-flattering dance moves, dips her, then they make out and we basically have a two person race for the group date rose. Keep in mind when you watch these group dates, if there’s 9 women on the date, and we’re only shown 2 of them getting their time with him post date, one of them is getting the group date rose. They rarely ever show more than a few in the early season group dates. Just because they don’t have time to run through 9 different women all saying the same thing. So we get two, Sydney gets the rose, a questionable looks are thrown, and we’re on to ChampagneGate.
