Fun times ahead in the next week I tell ya’. Got some stuff brewin’. Tomorrow will most certainly be an interesting podcast. Especially after watching last night’s episode. It will most definitely elicit some response, that’s for sure. All I suggest is that you actually listen to it before passing judgment. Even though I can see right through most you already and the eye rolls you’re inevitably going to give – just listen to it. Then next week we’re gearing up for the final four episodes of the season. The 14th, 15th, 21st, and 22nd are the last episodes of the season, and they’ve got quite a bit to wrap up. Which also means so do I. This season has certainly been interesting with all the things I’ve heard ever since filming ended. Each season is starting to get weirder and weirder how and why I start hearing things about the finale. And with these two seasons in quarantine, definitely made it harder. Didn’t have episode-by-episode spoilers before the season started for Clare/Tayshia. Won’t for Matt either. So I’m just gonna try and give you as much as I know before it airs, then do the weekly episode spoilers as I get them. Fun stuff I tell ya’. Looking forward to the next week or so. It’s getting interesting.
We got the answer that I posed yesterday in the spoilers. Which was they’re gonna have to show Ed, Riley, Bennett, and Noah going home before they actually show us the MTA, and that’s exactly what’s gonna happen. And now that we’ve seen the MTA footage, we know there were 9 guys there: Bennett, Noah, Riley, Yosef, Jason, Blake, Ed, Demar, and Kenny. Maybe you couldn’t see all of them in the clip because some might’ve been hidden, but that’s who was at the “Men Tell All,” which was filmed at Nemacolin over a month ago. They clearly gave away Noah and Blake Moynes in the preview. I believe you can briefly see Riley there in a quick shot. The only one not ever seen is Bennett, but I can assure you he’s there:
I feel like I’ve said this so many times this year, but yeah, COVID really screwed with this whole season. So much weirdness. I’m sure that bizarro 10 person MTA next week with no audience will only add to it. And while we’re at it, with the finale two weeks from last night, we have no idea if there’s gonna be a live ATFR or not. Nothings been said, but since audiences in a small studio doesn’t seem like the most COVID friendly thing to do, I’d be pretty surprised. Still could do a live show with just the contestants, but I highly doubt it’ll be in front of an audience.
A very funny “Bachelor” spoof was released yesterday. There’s been so many different ones done over the years, you figure this parody world has run out of ideas. From SNL’s spoof, to the “Burning Love” web series a few years back, to Jimmy Kimmel’s “Baby Bachelor,” to even Kelly Johns weekly “Bachelor” parodies she does of the episodes, it’s been like, “Ok, what’s next?” Well, here’s what next. The “Bachelorette” starring Kristina Kuzmic…and food:
That was some good shit. I’m also probably biased since she name dropped me at the end of it. You know what’s funny? She just did this as a spoof/parody for 4 minutes, but I absolutely think this could be a weekly mini series. She had me fooled. When I first saw it, I actually THOUGHT that’s what this trailer was, and this was just a teaser for a whole season of episodes. Nope. This was it. And now I’m bummed. I tweeted at her and told her she needs to do more. We’ll see I guess.
Ratings are in from last night, and the show held steady from last week’s numbers, with 4.1 million viewers and a 1.1 rating. Every episode since Tayshia has taken over has dropped in viewership every week. It’ll tick up the last few episodes since there will only be a few guys left and that’s when a lot of people check back in. But these numbers aren’t great. Granted, it IS airing on Tuesdays and during the holiday season, but I think they were expecting a little better than this. Curious to see the last 4 episodes ratings. While I know they’ll go up, I wanna see HOW much it goes up.

Definitely think Ben’s inclusion on this season was exploitative if they knew all of those details – too soon? But if it helps bring awareness to an issue and allows his support system to learn how to be there for him maybe it’s not all bad? I’ve lost a few people to suicide and often they suffer in silence. They don’t reach out for help and when they are gone, it’s too late. All too often you hear friends and family say they had no idea the person was struggling like this. Especially when it comes to military Vets…they are taught to be strong, both physically and emotionally and feel like asking for help is a sign of weakness so they often do not. Veteran suicide rate is alarming. Seeing a lot of positive response that the topic was broached, hopefully he continues to get the help he needs and maybe it helps some others who have been too afraid to ask for help also.

Damn… You’re just so jealous of Bennett, Steve. It’s not healthy. He really rubs you the wrong way for no reason. It reminds me of your hatred towards Derek Peth. It seems the person with an ego problem is you, Steve.

Oh Steve. Felt like this entire entry was about how big of a douche you think Bennet is. Everything you wrote about him came across condescending. Maybe take a lesson from the guy and pay attention to how your words come across. A lot of the things you accused him of can applied to yourself.

I agree with sumguy and nahu. You need to stop hating on Bennett. You don’t know him, you should be the last person to form an opinion on someone based on the way they’re portrayed on a highly edited and produced TV show.

I know you don’t read these comments anyway Steve, but just showing my support regarding your take on Bennett. You could not be more right.

I see that Bennett’s family & friends sock puppet accounts have weighed in. Look, you can like Bennett and still see that he’s extremely condescending… and lacks self awareness. Bennett oozes privilege, entitlement and condescension. For some, that may not be off putting. Maybe it comes across as confidence to some. I think it comes across as budding narcissism. If we was 22 years old it could be tossed off as immaturity. Dude is over 30 and went to an Ivy League school. And honestly, his performance doesn’t make him look very bright either despite his name brand education. And people should realize why people get into Ivy schools is as much (or more) related to pedigree as it is to intelligence. My Dad went to an Ivy League school & they were practically begging me to come there… family of donors gets to cut in line (it’s definitely not that I’m smarter than everyone. Note: I went to state school.) I don’t see his act getting better with time, especially if he’s part of a family & friends group that doesn’t call him out for it.

He says he doesn’t read them but in fact he does. He has blocked people and they come on again under a new account and talk about it. He blocks those that call him out. Lol
